I think i have a rather decent internet-provider - yet uploading 300-600 mb takes quite some time so it seems a way better solution for now to simply copy the save-files. This is a sign that the game is calling to a Steam cloud save with lost progress If you're missing anything, shut down the game IMMEDIATELY DO NOT enter into gameplay and finish a stage at this point, or your local data. If you play games a lot simply take your savegames with you on an USB-Stick.Īs of now i dont really se the point in having cloud-saves. Review the character select screen to determine whether you are missing levels, characters or money.
In case anybody wonders, all save games (big ones and small ones) will remain compatible with future updates.ĭo you guys have any idea on a time frame for this? Is it something you expect to have this done very soon? I have two different places I game, and having cloud compatibility would be a big help, so I'm just interested to know when I should expect this, even if it's a very rough estimate. We have a new option that allows PC players to save their Story Mode game saves to the Rockstar cloud for use as backups or across multiple PCs.Enabling Cloud SavesUpon first loading up GTAV on PC, players will now be presented with an opt-in screen, which allows them to turn on the Cloud Saves feature. If not, do the following for steam: In your Steam Library, right click The Witcher 3.
We'll make them smaller and reactivate the Steam Cloud soon. This should be automatically turned on for Steam and GOG. Nintendo Switch cross-saving is supported, and utilizes the Epic and Steam cloud saving systems.
I've never needed to do it on Forza but if you go offline you will stop the game uploading saves to the cloud. It's was on but we switched it off again as the save games are currently too large and causing problems on the Cloud. Cross-platform Saves: The save files generated by Epic and Steam versions of the game, and by the Mac and PC versions of the game, are the same file format and can be loaded seamlessly as long as theyre placed in the correct directory. When I start Forza if the save in the cloud and my hard drive are not the same I will usually get a choice on which one to use. I always end the game properly by going home and and quitting the game. Before I end a game I always enter the main Horizon site and change vehicle or outfit etc and when I exit the screens I will get the 2 rotating circles. In the bottom right corner 2 rotating circles one large one small appear from time to time and it's important not to switch off the machine whilst these are on screen. I can't guarantee this but it seems that the game saves progress to the cloud and a player's hard drive frequently whilst playing the game. You may also find some games store their save files in your Documents folderlook for a. The only way I have found of doing it on a console is to alternate between two consoles which is easy for me to do. Games that utilize Steams cloud saves may store these files under C:Program Files (x86)SteamUserdata. I don't play Forza on a PC but some players have commented that you can back up your saves on the Pc's hard drive which would seem a sensible precaution. I wanna know cause today I got some corruptions with the save games and I wanna know that so if I suspect that the save might become corrupted later on I know if I can still prevent it to upload to the cloud Since when I close the game there is no delay afterwards or a window saying syncing or anything.
Does anybody have an idea on how syncing to the cloud works in the game? I know for instance that it downloads the cloud save when you press continue before you enter the game, but I wanna know when does it upload the saves to the cloud? is it instant as soon as it saves ? or when.
